UK Online Ad Spend To Reach £2 billion

According to a study by accountants PriceWaterhouseCoopers for the IAB, online ad spend in the UK will reach £2billion by the end of this year.
In doing so, it will reach over 11% of the advertising market and overtake the spend in national newspaper advertising.

MarketingSherpa Adds RSS Feed

MarketingSherpa, which in my opinion is one of the best sources for marketing ideas, case studies and data, has recently added an RSS feed.
I’ve long wondered why a site that embraces marketing tools relied purely on email alerts to notify subscribers of updates, but thankfully they’ve now jumped aboard the RSS bandwagon.

Finally: Some Pay-Per-Call Results

MarketingSherpa has published some long-awaited results for Pay-Per-Call marketing, although the conclusions made aren’t particularly conclusive.
The one advertiser that they feature has seen conversions of 3.3% for pay-per-call, as opposed to 0.6% for pay-per-click advertising, but the service he provides, nurse recruitment, does seem more suited to dealings over the phone.
