Pay-Per-Click Ads In Email

Miva has launched Miva Mail, the “pay per click email marketing solution”, which allows you to embed their PPC ads into HTML emails.

I guess the biggest problem with these types of ads are getting them to display consistently across the multitude of email clients and web-based email systems, and Miva claim that there ads work on 99% of email clients.

But if you run a newsletter and know a fair percentage of your recipients will be able to view the ads, these might be worth a try. Be careful though, if you’re trying to sell products through your emails, check that your competitors ads aren’t showing up.
