AdSense Logger - Is It Allowed?
I’ve just come across this AdSense Logger script in PHP (via SEO Book) - before I try it out, I’m wondering whether it is against the Google terms and conditions? It would certainly be useful if it did work and was allowed.
From the looks of it, it uses Javascript to guage which ads are clicked on (probably the only way to do this), which then writes the info to a database using PHP. Now, as it doesn’t actually alter the Google code, I’m unsure whether it violates their terms or not. I remember reading a forum post a while back with someone wondering whether a) this was possible to do in the first place (a lot of people thought it wasn’t) and b) whether it was allowed (again, many thought it wasn’t).
I’ll do a bit more digging and see what I can find out.
